What Apps Do You Use Every Day?

October 16, 2013 By Ashley Nialetz

Here are some of my apps and my question to you. 🙂

So many people work from home now, but any of us that do know that sometimes “working from home” really means working from your car, or someone else’s office, or the soccer field or anywhere else you may be.  So we have become a very mobile society and rely on our phones a lot.  The age of the smartphone has arrived, taken over and been here a while…I know this because my mom and step-mom both have one….it’s scary some days,  but even they have figured out the world of face-time and Candy Crush.

So, if you have a smart phone, you have apps, some of which you may almost never use, if at all…Below I’ll give you a small glimpse of my world. Then, I want to hear if anyone is ever left wishing for more!

1. Paypal

It’s how i get paid and how I pay myself.  I run a lot of my business through here and have found so do a lot of other people. I have the debit card so it’s really just like any other debit card, but hey… Toys R Us even takes PayPal at the register now!!

2. Evernote

I am constantly recording little messages to myself, making notes, adding screenshots so that when I get home later I can remember what it is I told everyone I would to.

3. (come on you all knew this one was coming…) Facebook

I am on this all day too. Messenger is big. Some of my clients only chat on here, plus I manage a lot of client stuff on Facebook. It’s honestly 99% of the time simpler to do tasks from my phone than on the computer ( at least for me) and makes it very easy to do things on the go….like in line at the grocery store.

4. Twitter

I know…a lot of people use one social media software like Hootsuite or Tweetdeck…and I do too actually, but on my phone….I still find it easier to  manage things and keep accounts organized on the official app.  It’s just how I roll.

5. Voxer

If you haven’t discovered this…please do!  I love it. It’s like walkie-talkie for phones, but quicker then a phone call. My team loves this more then Skype  or texting because sometimes they just find it easier to say it then type it. We don’t worrying about interrupting each other because you just get an alert and listen when you are available.

There are more, but I can’t give away all my secrets at once. Here is my question for you….What do you wish you could find an app for?  Has there ever been that moment when you have needed or wanted to do something and thought “there has to be an app for that”  ….then searched and searched but came up empty-handed?

I know there are some for me but I am curious!  Comment Ladies, let’s hear it!

There are two apps I would like to see, although I would not use them every day I would use them at least a few times every month or so.
    1. How long is the TSA line in XX airport – That way I know just how early is early that I have to get to the airport for screening
    2. How long is the immigration line in XX airport – That way I know if I am going to miss my connecting flight and I can figure out a plan B

Oh and for the job hunters out there if they are online and see a job but have been sending out lots of applications the app should be able to tell you if you have already applied to that company or that job even if it is the same job just posted in another place.
