Did you know that YouTube gets over four million views on a daily basis? Yes! In fact, it is the most watched video streaming website in the history of internet.

A 2013 Content Marketing Benchmarks report revealed that over 70% of businesses used videos in order to market themselves and subsequently increase global and local exposure. The report also stated that reaching consumers through videos was more fruitful than opting for traditional promotional schemes.

So let us take a tour of ways through which you can use YouTube to grow your business quickly and effectively:

1. Repurpose Your Content

YouTube is not just about streaming funny videos, music, or movie trailers. It is much more than that, and you, as a businessperson, can benefit from it.

Who said repurposing content is limited to just words? You can convert presentations, podcasts, and infographics into short videos! You can even upload interviews with experts, departmental heads, and employees.

The purpose of repurposing content is to ensure that none of your resources ever go to waste. In fact, videos are engaging and easy-to-browse-through especially when it comes to sharing valuable tips and trends and to your business prospects. The fact that the whole organization gets featured in the videos in some form or the other ultimately speaks volumes about your business is.

2. Promote Your Services Smartly

Research shows that businesses which offer professional services or sell products benefit greatly only if they are able to strike the ‘personal’ chord with their customer base. How about investing a portion of your financial resources into making customer testimonials? Hearing good things about your company’s services from your consumers may encourage the untapped market to notice you.

It’s simple. People prefer to go to those companies they trust or feel a connection with on an emotional level. YouTube, in short, will not only increase your interaction with your consumer base but will also generate more revenues!

3. Get Help from Google

Don’t restrict yourself to uploading just videos. Make use of Google Adwords. You can even conduct your own research to identify the best placement of these ads.

Second, you can come up with innovative contests on your YouTube channel which will increase your customer interaction significantly.

In addition, collaborate with YouTube to generate revenues. Opt for ‘Call-to-Action’ overlays which can be added to the videos to drive traffic to your official website.

4. Plan Your YouTube Strategy

Planning a YouTube strategy for your business requires intensive research. What kind of industry do you function in? What are your business’ strengths? What’s the organizational structure like? These are some of the factors that need to be taken into consideration.

Please make sure that whatever visual content you upload on YouTube helps your business to grow and doesn’t waste your time, energy, and money in any way. Strategize smartly and stick to the plan for bigger, better, and more effective results.
