Survive and Thrive

October 4, 2011 By Hilary Brooks

One thing women are good at dealing with is change, especially women business owners and entrepreneurs.  We adapt, change and morph with the times. It’s how women and women-owned businesses still thrive.

A Citibank survey shows that women still have hope that their own personal financial situation will change for the better, despite what is going on with most of the economic world.

This is because women are changing their habits and adapting to survive and thrive!

To help women make the most of their money Linda Descano, CFA®, President and CEO of Women & Co., provided some tips to further help women survive and thrive, both in our personal and business lives:

  • Start budgeting
  • Commit to saving
  • Watch transportation costs
  • Cut down on luxury spending
  • Stay on an investment diet

Everyone should have a budget that includes savings and stick to it. That way when unexpected things happen, because they do, you have something to fall back on.

These tips can help everyone, man or woman, both personally and in our businesses.

Brief and concise tips, thanks! I like “stay on an investment diet.” Thanks for the reminder, Hilary!
