5 Surefire Ways to Promote Your Business on Facebook

May 29, 2018 By Community Member

facebook promotion

Facebook is a platform with millions of daily users, so it’s no surprise that it can drive a lot of business. Conversely, you’re certainly losing business if you’re not promoting on Facebook. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to do it.

Facebook is merely a time expenditure, but the return on investment is out of this world. You can’t afford not to be promoting on Facebook. Read on to learn how to do it in a way that captures tons of new traffic.

Use Location Pages

Obviously, location pages are specific to their geographic location. People love rallying around their community and supporting local business, so it’s essential to set up location pages. Branded Facebook Pages have the Locations tab. Being an admin on the page makes the set-up go quickly, and the Locations tab is on the top right of the page.

Adding locations is a great way to enable customized content for a specific location and/or community. It will also help you promote localized ads and manage different locations effectively.

Advertising on Facebook is Effective and Inexpensive

Facebook is a fantastic way to gain visibility, and it doesn’t have to be crazy expensive. It offers targeted ads for different demographic and geographic groups with amazing accuracy. Facebook ads also offer multiple objectives for reaching goals.

Whether you want to drive leads or boost engagement in a specific community, some goals can help you do it, and they’re incredibly effective. Facebook has a plethora of advertising tools available for your page, so take advantage of them.

Set Location Goals

Location goals are a fabulous way to drive traffic to your website. Awareness ads that incorporate calls to action are incredibly effective. The call-to-action can be something as simple as “get directions” as long as they’re telling the audience what you want them to do.

You can set up a mile radius to encompass and target the services or products that you provide. Still, ask people to Like and Share, but focus on specific locations to really beef up traffic and meet those goals.

Promote Events

Creating and promoting events is a great way to get the word out and help drum up business. Use invitations to help spread the word because it makes people feel special. When someone accepts an invitation, it shows up in their notifications, which brings even more attention to it.

A low-cost way to get a lot of eyes on an event and bring attention to it is to boost it. It does cost a little, but the traffic it brings is usually worth every penny.

Create Video Content

Facebook Live is the streaming service that allows anyone to broadcast a message directly to the Facebook news feed. People love live streaming because anything can happen and sometimes does, but Facebook Live videos get three times more traffic than traditional videos. Therefore, consider doing a Facebook Live event.

If that isn’t something you’re interested in just yet, that’s okay, but you do need video content on your page. People want to see pictures and videos. Simple text without video content is considered boring. There are a million different ideas for video content. Just make sure it’s relevant to your business and audience.

Video content really boosts traffic, so don’t overlook it. You don’t have to pack your page full of video content, but incorporating a balanced amount will get you the traffic you’re looking for.

Get Started

Make sure that you’re engaging with your audience, too. All is for nothing if you don’t engage because engagement is the first step in conversion. Follow the steps above and communicate with your audience regularly to see an increase in traffic to your business website and to sales.
