That is why I shared my feelings recently in a post I titled Marketing is NOT Evil. In it I explain that ethical sales and marketing are good because they make sure we can find the products and services we want and need.

There is a general mistrust and dislike of sales people and therefore sales among business owners, their employees, bloggers and the general public. Word of mouth marketing (womm) can make it far easier to determine what companies sell high quality products and services and care about their customers and which do not.

Instead of hating selling and sales, ethical womm and supporting our favorite small and online businesses can transform our economy and generate more prosperity for the many.
